I had such a fun time photographing Matt and Jessica for their save-the-dates, of course I can’t show you those, but here are a few I can share.

Tink, a sweet 11 year old poodle, invited me to her beautiful home in Hudson Bend on a lovely November afternoon. This brown eyed girl enjoyed showing me around the property, which has been in her family for years. From the garden to the water-front view, Tink looked perfect everywhere we went.

The Wine and Food Foundation celebrated ten years of Big Reds & Bubbles and was more delicious than ever! This year’s LaMarca girls were dressed in bubbles and I learned that I’ll eat anything the people at Jack Allen’s Kitchen try to feed me. Click here to see images from the event.

This year’s Rescue Spooktacular was full of amazing costumes and adorable pups looking for homes. There were dogs of every shape and size, from tiny chi’s in carriages to a gathering of great danes. All proceeds benefited local area rescues, including Austin Pets Alive and Wags. To see all the pictures from the event, click here!

After 8.5 amazing years together, this past weekend we had to let Sugar go. Diagnosed with mast cell tumors in June, we were hopeful that they could be removed with surgery. Two weeks after surgery her abdomen became swollen and inflamed, we were referred to Central Texas Specialty Veterinary Hopsital, for fear the swelling was a tumor. We were saddened to learn that it was indeed a tumor and that the cancer had spread to one of her lymph nodes. Sugar began chemothereapy treatments with the knowledge that we would never rid her of the cancer, just hold it off if possible.
Sugar lived every day to it’s fullest and I know in my heart she knew how much we loved her. With her charming personality, she instantly captured the heart of every person she met. She had so many friends both furry and not, and despite her large size she was extremely gentle and it was not uncommon to see her snuggling with kittens or small children. Sugar loved going to Red Bud Isle, her favorite park, and fetching her tennis ball from the water. She also enjoyed long walks and ripping her raw hide bones to shreds.
Sugar passed peacefully on October 20, with her daddy by her side. We loved her so much and I’m so grateful for the time we spent together.

Young at heart and full of energy these four siblings prove you don’t have to let old age slow you down. Lily, the youngest at 9, and the only girl was the star of the show. With her sweet eyes I couldn’t resist rubbing her belly which she was only too happy to show me. Eddie is the elder at 16, and having been lost as a puppy his daddy is still very protective of him. King of his castle, I don’t think he minds staying in.
Cooper was camera shy preferring to do his own thing, sniffing bushes and digging holes. He quickly got tired of me and my treats and asked to be let in. But inside is where Dinky was lounging, not to be bothered with the outdoors for any longer than necessary. Dinky enjoyed all the attention he was getting, pawing for more and proving that Lily isn’t the only model in the family.
