Thanks to Austin Woman over $1200 was raised for APA! at this month’s Tiara Tuesday. Dr. Jefferson, the cover girl, was in attendance as well as Lily Kreacher, winner of the cutest pet contest and Benji, featured in the dog-friendly dining guide. Ragamuffin was a hit and Isiah hammed it up for the camera.

This event benefitted APA!’s Positive Alternatives to Shelter Surrender or PASS Program. This program offers the general public the oppurtunity to help their pets find new homes or to stay in their current homes. APA! offers advice and assistance with solving behavioral or medical issues, and limited assistance with rehoming the pets. The Opa! event raised nearly $800 not including the donations promised by some of the event vendors. In attendance was the oh-so social Ava (upper left) and super sweety Isiah (middle) who is still available for adoption.

Gus is currently the longest-stay dog at APA! and has been in our program for over 2 months. He is a super sweet boy who loves to play with other dogs. To find out how to meet Gus visit www.austinpetsalive.org

The Queen and King are Crowned!
These 3 gals were my latest foster pups from Austin Pets Alive! Weighing 2 to 3 pounds each, all were recovering from parvo. They were so tiny and had such big personalities, it was awesome to spend two weeks fattening them up and giving them the attention and love they deserved. The girls were lucky to get adopted by a close group of friends and will get to grow up always knowing each other, this is especially sweet since they went through so much together.
